1. How you Think is Everything: Always be positive! Think success, not failure. Negative environments are for losers. A winning attitude pays off!
2. Decide upon your REAL Goals: On every project at KDC, write down your specific goals and develop a plan to reach each of them. Don't operate half-cocked - it's for losers too!
3. Take Action: Goals are nothing without action. Don't be afraid to get started now. Just do it NOW! Be innovative! Get-up/Get-Out! Be "task-oriented!"
4. Never Quit Learning: Never be a know-it-all! Great KDC project managers go "back to basics on every project," read related materials and books, constantly get training and acquire new skills daily. Add real value to our client's jobs! Make them want to hire YOU for their building needs again, again and again!
5. Be Persistent and Work Hard: Success is a marathon, not a sprint! Never give up, especially in a rocky economy. You will WIN if you show persistence daily! Remember that "When the going gets tough…the tough get going." Our business and marketplace is certainly not for wimps! It takes a real team effort to succeed! Pace yourself for victory!
6. Get Involved: Always attempt to get all the facts, all the input upfront. Learn from your mistakes, and admit it...No finger pointing allowed. A "Player-Coach" attitude is mandatory by all executives and managers. No hierarchy exists at KDC and no "bosses," every one of us jumps in the trenches whenever needed!"
7. Focus: Don't let other people in the business or other things distract you. Time is either your ally or enemy. Focus is critical to complete your client's needs on time with top quality! FOCUS DAILY on your tasks at hand!
8. Don't be Afraid to Innovate & Be Different: Following the herd is a sure way to mediocrity. Show initiative daily! Be creative. Think out of the box! Impress your customers and clients daily. Make yourself and your co-workers proud!!
9. Deal & Communicate with People Effectively: Everyone of us at KDC should build stronger customer relationships! Network with our clients! "No person is an island." Learn to understand and how to best communicate with clients, vendors, co-workers and others both in and out of the office. Importantly, remember…since the customer comes first at KDC; ask THEM how they want to be kept up to speed when working with them on their project!
10. Be Honest, Dependable, Trustworthy & Take Responsibility: Of course…otherwise, numbers 1-9 above won't matter.
